My first visit to Silver Strand Beach in Galway was with one of my friends who wanted to go out on a sunny day. As sunny days are rare in Galway, you should take the chance and go out! We first decided to visit Barna Woods and then Silver Strand Beach.
Barna Woods is one of those places that we enjoyed visiting. The whole atmosphere of Barna Woods is just so peaceful while offering you a nice walk to experience nature and immerse yourself in its relaxing ambience. You can see a picture below that I took from the dreamy Barna Woods.
Then we visited the fantastic Silver Strand Beach, a spectacular beach with amazing views, perfect for a weekend getaway to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Back then, We took a bus from the city centre, We had quite a walk towards the Silver Strand beach back then, but it was a lovely walk – We just had to be mindful of the cars.

There is ample parking at the beach unless it is a peak season. Back then, there are public toilets available at Silver strand beach.
